2FM to dedicate show to late DJ, Alan McQuillan

Alan, who worked across a number of RTÉ stations for the past 18 years, died suddenly in January at the age of 36.

This Saturday, 2FM will dedicate their nightly show to late DJ Alan McQuillan.

The DJ and producer, who worked across a number of RTÉ stations for the past 18 years, died suddenly in January at the age of 36.

The passing of Alan came as the greatest shock to his radio family, who continue to recall their memories with him online.

The radio centre is an emptier place in his absence and without him we are truly off air

To pay tribute to their friend and colleague, The Electric Disco will dedicate this weekend to all things, Al.

In a special 4 hour show, 2fm's Jenny Greene is joined by guest DJs Mark McCabe, Al Gibbs, Dave Treacy and MO K to celebrate the life the 2fm DJ.

The show will feature interviews, live DJ sets and lots of Alan's favourite tracks from over the years.

‘A Night for Al’ will air from 6-10pm live on 2fm and their Facebook page.
