Former Fair City and Britain's Got Talent Star Ryan O'Shaughnessy has been announced as Ireland's Eurovision Song Contest entry, writes
The 25-year-old co-wrote the winning song "Together" along side Mark Caplice and Laura Elizabeth Hughes and he will go on to perform it at the contest's semi-final in Lisbon on May, 8.

The Dublin native started out on RTÉ's Fair City as Mark Halpin but then went on to reach the final of Britain's Got Talent in 2012 impressing the likes of Simon Cowell and Amanda Holden with his singer-songwriter style.
If his entry is half as good as this then we might just be in luck...
Over 300 songs were submitted to RTÉ for consideration and the winning entry was chosen by a panel of music industry professionals.
