This Kerry pub is getting in the Christmas spirit the best way possible

One Kerry pub is doing the season of goodwill proud with their generous offer of a free Christmas dinner for the homeless, elderly and families in need this weekend.

The Connie K pub announced its decision to make meals for those who need them on Facebook.

The post said: “I recently spoke to a lady only a few steps away from my front door and after a brief emotional chat as she was very upset, i was shocked to learn of the struggle she and her family faced on a daily basis in our locality.

“To provide even the most basic things like food & Clothing she seemed to be dreading the thought of Christmas. We read and hear about these things every day but sometimes we dont realise how close to home people are affected.”

It is lovely to see such acts of compassion during a time when people who are struggling find themselves under even more pressure due to the expectations of Christmas.

If you know of any other goodwill gestures like this, be sure to let us know so we can let everyone else know!
