Santa visited the GPO today to post letters to the boys and girls of Ireland

Ho, ho, ho!

Santa made a very important visit today to the GPO to post his replies to all the letters he received from the good boys and girls of Ireland.

A few lucky children even got to meet the man himself while he posed for photos and smiled for the camera before heading straight back to the North Pole Workshop.

According to An Post, Santa has a special agreement with An Post that will ensure that his magical replies will be delivered to all the boys and girls who wrote to him this year.

Santa received 130,000 letters from Irish children this year and he said he hopes each and every one of them has a Merry Christmas next weekend.

Santa also said that the elfs were working very hard to ensure that all the presents would be ready for travel next weekend and some of them were so busy, they were skipping their 11am milk and cookies snack time!

Santa thanked all the boys and girls for writing to him this year and he said he looks forward to delivering all the presents to the Irish houses on Christmas Eve.
