Ad suggests trans rights will lead to little girls being raped

Wait, what?

Ad suggests trans rights will lead to little girls being raped

Ad ad which suggests that transgender rights will lead to little girls being raped is horrifying.

Targeting Roy Cooper's Bathroom Plan the description states: "North Carolina has ground zero in the fight to impose transgender bathrooms in the nation in the 2016 Gubernatorial election."

The ad is an attack targeting Cooper, who is running to be governor of North Carolina.

He is a known supporter of LGBT rights and is in favour of repealing North Carolina's HB2 law which bans transgender people from using the bathroom that corresponds to their gender identity.

The ad shows a young girl going into a stall and a man following her in. The door then closes quickly behind them.

What's interesting is that the ad claims that "no one could stop them", them being the possible sex offenders who "claim" to be women. That brings us to the question: Are US bathrooms policed?

It appears they are, as Dazed reported US police stopped a woman using female toilets because she was gay soon after the new laws were introduced.

The ad was financed by the North Carolina Values Coalition and the National Organization for Marriage. Both are strongly opposed to LGBT rights.

The North Carolina Values Coalition celebrated the video reaching over one million views on their website last week, stating: "Roy Cooper has laid out his bathroom plan- to allow grown men into bathrooms, showers, and locker rooms with young girls. That goes too far."
