The Simpsons has reached 600 episodes and we still love it
Everyone’s favourite cartoon family has reached a milestone in the history of American television.
The Simpsons has aired its 600th episode Treehouse of Horror XXVIII.
In a display of how the show has managed to keep up with modern life, the episode’s traditional couch gag has been turned into a 360-degree virtual reality experience.
Fancy.

The episode also features an image which is an animated frame containing all 600 episodes in order.
The Simpsons has been a long-time favourite in Irish households, and there have been many magnificent moments when Ireland met Springfield.
Homer vs. the Eighteenth Amendment shows Springfield celebrating St Patrick’s Day featuring the killer line from Kent Brockman, “all this violence, looting, destruction of property. Is this really what we think of when we think of the Irish?”
Treehouse of Horror XII features a foul-mouthed leprechaun (of course) which Homer describes as “’tis like the singing of the angels themselves”.
According to CBS, the Western series “Gunsmoke” is the only show in US television history to reach more than 600 episodes.
