6-foot stranded alligator got a car ride to safety

A 6-foot alligator left stranded by Hurricane Matthew had a special car ride to safety.

Russell Cavendar 'The Snake Chaser' was called to a beach in South Carolina to wrangle an alligator.

The severe weather meant that this alligator ended up in the ocean and eventually reached a beach.

Cavendar looks at ease as he pets the alligator nestled in his back seat.

He's a professional wildlife and reptile handler who caught his first snake at the age of three.

To each their own, but we're glad this alligator is heading to a safer place.
