These cats surely lost one of their nine lives in this video which shows the circle of life in full swing.

The video, shot by Connie Michaud, obviously struck a chord with animal lovers around the world as it has been watched over six million times.

Three cats were being filmed by their owner stalking a bird when a happy-go-lucky dog wanders in on their gang.

The clowder of cats were so immersed in watching their prey that they failed to even register their enemy, the dog, sauntering up behind them.

Not impressed with being ignored by his feline friends the dog lets out a bark to announce his presence and the cats get the fright of their life with one cat leaping into the air.

Completely unfazed by the commotion he caused this happy little dog turned his attention to his owner, barking and yapping at the camera.

Clearly a bit of an attention-seeker we reckon this dog won't be popular around the house for some time!
