Radio show prank finds the best bloke in Australia
It seems an Australian radio show has inadvertently found the country's soundest lad.
The hosts of the Hamish and Andy Radio Show love playing pranks on their listeners, so Hamish called a random number pretending he needed a reference in order to go for a job.
The victim, James Lord, was more than willing to help out what he thought was a total stranger - in this case Hamish pretending to be Tim Barnard - by giving him a great character reference for an accounting job.
Since the video of the prank was posted on their Facebook page the prank has been viewed more than seven million times and James has being doing TV interviews down in OZ.
The electrician from Melbourne told one Australian news channel: "I didn’t catch on at all. All I thought was, I just want to help this bloke out."
Since the show aired, James has been hailed as ‘the best bloke in Australia’, but the radio show wanted to test him out for a second time.
So, they invited him into the studio to meet him face-to-face and carried out the beer test.
We think you'll agree, James is #AustraliasGreatestBloke.
