WATCH: Exuberant dog tries to play with sullen cat and it doesn't end well

This cat does not want to play.

Anyone who owns a cat knows that they have an innate sense of entitlement, but no one told this poor dog.

This dog wants to play and his chosen playmate is a particularly anti-social black and white cat, currently indulging in some soul searching on the bed.

His first attempt to cajole the cat into playing with him does not end well, but that does not stop him from trying again.

His second attempt to instigate a bit of play with the kitty also ends badly and seems to ignite the cat's rage as if she is absolutely furious the dog has disobeyed her instructions to leave her alone.

After a second attack lunge for the hapless pouch, the cat arrogantly turns her back and returns to relaxing in a curled up position.

The dog looks on sadly, but his lesson has been learned, don't mess with the cat!
