Check out this massive jellyfish that washed up on a beach in Ireland

A ginormous jellyfish has been found washed up on a beach in Dublin yesterday evening.

The jellyfish, thought to be a Lions Mane jellyfish - which is the largest known variation of the jellyfish species - was spotted on Portmarnock beach.

The Lions Mane Jellyfish is commonly found in cold waters, such as the Irish Sea and anyone taking to the water is advised to be careful and also to be aware of the possible dangers in the water.

We will be keeping our fingers and toes safely on land after seeing this monstrosity, but for the braver individuals out there who may venture into the sea in the last few weeks of the summer here is a link to some Professional advice on how to treat a Jellyfish sting.

Stay safe everybody!
