Well, maybe he was simply getting his own back after what happened with Trump's plane earlier in the day.

The Texas senator was outside the rally in Cleveland yesterday talking to supporters before his big speech, when he mentioned the party's nominee for the US presidency.

"Our party now has a nominee," said Cruz right as that nominee's plane does a fly-by, much to the delight of the crowd.

"That was pretty well orchestrated." Yes it was Ted, yes it was.
