Pokémon Go player calls 999 over 'stolen Pokémon'
The Pokemon Go craze has hit fever point with one player calling 999 to report a stolen Pokémon.
The call was made in Gloucestershire, a day after the popular game was launched in the United Kingdom.
In the call, which you can listen to below, you can hear the operator tell the caller in a sharp tone that she may be stopping a call coming through with a life or death situation.
This is one of a number of incidents reported with regard to the Pokémon Go game that is dividing opinions across the globe.
In Australia, police were forced to issue a ‘Pokémon Go’ warning as fans flocked to a police station in search of poke balls.
In California, two teenagers fell off a cliff while playing the game and in Germany there was widespread criticism as people were playing the game in Auschwitz.
In the UK a group of Pokémon Go players helped catch burglars that they wandered upon while catching Pokémon and another group of Pokémon Go players were robbed at knifepoint in Hulme Park while on the hunt for Pikachu and his friends.
Police around the world have issued safety warnings about the game, urging people to be aware of their surroundings at all times.
