This timelapse of a thunderstorm over New York looks like it’s from a movie

The power of nature…

We all know things can change quickly when it comes to the weather and, even though it’s sped up, this timelapse of a storm over New York shows just that.

The footage, put together by Sean Gao, shows the thunderstorm sweep in from the right of the shot and it is not long before it completely engulfs the New York skyline.

The camera is lucky to withstand the powerful burst of wind and rain that batters it, as it records the footage during the course of a day.
