This adorable three-year-old just found out what periods are - and she's terrified

The poor thing thought her sister was dying.

Sixteen-year-old Meeiah Tolentino from Alaska has a three-year-old sister and, as anyone with smallies in the family, she's used to the lack of privacy that comes with it.

“She loves following everyone in my family around,” she told Buzzfeed. “I mean she’s 3 years old, little kids are curious.”

But curiosity got the bettter of Rain the other day.

Meeiah had her period and when she went to use the bathroom, she forgot to lock the door. Her little sister came bursting in and, before her cousin quickly pulled her out, Rain received an abrupt education in what it means to be a woman.

And she was hysterical - which is a fair enough reaction without context.

“I went in my room and saw her bawling,” Meeiah said. “She was yelling, ‘You need to go to the doctor,’ and ‘You’re going to die because you’re bleeding!’”

Meeiah hugged her and reassured her she was going to be okay even letting Rain pretend to be a doctor to fix her up.

“Two minutes after the video she totally forgot what of happened and went [back] to her normal, happy, self.”

Her post has been retweeted over 80,000 times - and it seems Rain is not the first kid to have a terrifying introduction to periods.
