A giant waterslide is coming to Dublin city centre

The inflatable two lane 260 foot slide will run from Christchurch Cathedral down the hill towards the quays.

Get ready, Dublin… a giant slide is coming to town.

Dublin’s 98FM has just announced the launch of the Big Slide Home in association with HB Ice Cream and Dublin County Council .

A 260 foot two-lane waterslide will be constructed in Dublin city centre on Winetavern Street near Christchurch Cathedral later this month.

"On Saturday 23rd of July this two lane inflatable slide (5mt wide) will run from the arch of the Cathedral down to the base of the hill and will give listeners the chance to travel through Christchurch like never before!"

And it looks like it's going to be soooo much fun.

It will be open to the public between 12pm and 6pm but you'll need to tune in to the radio station for info on how to register for a wristband.
