Teen gets trapped in a Barney head and has to go to the Fire Dept for help

"Barney comes to play with us whenever we may need him…"

Fifteen-year-old Darby Risner fell victim to her own prank when she tried to scare her friends with a Barney prop and ended up stuck inside the head of the big purple dinosaur.

The young girl was at a slumber party at her church in Trussville Alabama when she got the bright idea to don the Barney head and jump out at her friends.

She waited at the foot of the staircase but before she could frighten her friends, she found herself in a bit of a pickle.

The giant head had slipped down over the girl’s shoulders and became wedged. Darby was now stuck inside a Barney prop.

We are sure it was hard to feign concern for the poor girl as the large grinning smile of everyone’s favourite dinosaur stared at them over the tiny body of a 15-year-old girl.

Despite a few Vaseline attempts to free the teenager from the grips of the lovable dinosaur costume head her friends soon realised they would need external assistance.

So ‘Barney’ and her friends took a trip to the local fire station to see if they could help release Darby from the prop.

Down at the Fire Department, the comical spectacle of Darby with her big smiling purple head was too much for them and they chuckled at the sight of her, despite trying to remain professional.

Eventually, thanks to the help of the Fire Department, Darby was set free from her purple prison.

The officers made a few cuts in the back of the head and with the extra room, Darby managed to wriggle her way to freedom.

We bet this girl no longer loves Barney as much as she used to.
