Cork Rose contestants give this adorable little traveller the surprise homecoming of his life
It’s that time of the year again, when lovely ladies all over Ireland take to their local stages in a bid to represent their county in this year's Rose of Tralee.
This year's Cork hopefuls were out and about this weekend and dropped by Cork Airport to mark the Euros and to wish the Irish soccer team luck, but while they were there they jumped on the chance to give this surprise welcome to one lucky traveller as they noticed this family waiting patiently at the arrival gate.

Matthew is from San Francisco and was travelling with his dad (who hails from Cork) to Ireland to visit his family and grandparents for four weeks - as well as taking a small trip to France to watch Ireland play in the Euros.
Anybody would have thought Matthew was a 19-year-old soccer fanatic, no - turns out Matthew is six.
Little did he know that there were 28 girls waiting for him at arrivals chanting his name.
Watch the adorable moment here:
“I didn’t expect this to happen, I just got off a flight,” the adorable little man told the girls afterwards.
In a kind gesture, Matthew was also invited as a special guest and honorary mini escort to the Cork Rose selection on July 1 and 2 by the Cork Rose team.
Talk about a welcome!

Does anyone else think Matthew would give Daithi a run for his money? We certainly do!
