His owner is of course getting a bit tired of it.

This horse lives to fool people into thinking he's dead

Almost every week, Kelley R. Palma from Kerens, Texas gets a call or a visit from people who come bearing the bad news that her horse Pinto is dead.

And every time, she tells them the same thing - he's play acting.

Sometimes they don't believe him ("No,he's dead, his leg is stiff") but everytime Pinto proves her right by eventually getting up and galloping away.

"Almost weekly people stop or call to tell me my pony is dead. In this particular incident, some contractors called me to tell me the same. I told them that "he just plays possum', and one of them said "No,he's dead, his leg is stiff".

The most recent incident happened Monday and they managed to get it on film.

He is very convincing, to be fair.

"The first time Pinto did this a few years ago, I called my adult children to inform them that my grandkid's pony was dead. I was headed to load him on a front-end loader to take him to the back pasture to allow nature to take it's toll," explainsKelley.

"When I got close to him, he got up and ran! He's been doing this ever since."

Give that horse an Oscar. Or an apple. He would probably appreciate the apple more.
