1,300 sheep take over Spanish town after shepherd falls asleep
More than a thousand sheep ran riot through a Spanish city after their shepherd fell asleep on the job.
Police were alerted to a large flock of sheep running through the streets of Huesca at 4.30am on Monday.
Officers tried to round up more than 1,300 sheep, who were getting lost through the city's narrow streets.
Police later found the sheep herder peacefully slumbering, so they woke him up, and he came to guide the flock back to their pastures.
The shepherd was following an ancient herding route, known as 'canana real’ which passes through the city of Huesca.
