Couple record shocked reactions as they surprise relatives with new adopted daughter

After four years of trying for a baby, California couple Lacey and Banks Farris had a big surprise for their families.
Fertility issues prevented Lacey and Banks from having a baby of their own, so they chose to pursue the adoption route to become parents.
While their families were aware the couple wanted to adopt, they had no idea that Lacey and Banks had received the wonderful news that they had been matched with a new baby girl last month.
âThey didnât know we had been matched and were talking to a particular set of parents or anything like that,â Lacey told ABC News.
Having had a failed attempt to adopt in the past, the couple decided to keep the news to themselves until baby Finley officially became their daughter on May 2. They then decided to embark on a three-day road trip to Alabama, Tennessee and Arizona to surprise both their families with their new bundle of joy and the reactions are just brilliant.
The video has spread like wildfire online and the couple say they want to use it to normalise the adoption process for Finley when she is old enough to know.
âWeâre overwhelmed by the amount of support and love weâve gotten from strangers,â said Lacey.
âWe wanted to make sure she viewed her adoption not as something that was weird or taboo, but we wanted it to be just part of who she is. We wanted her adoption to be part of her life and part of her story.â
