Owner builds rescue tortoise his own Jurassic Park

After bringing Louie the tortoise home, owner Oliver Turpin decided to give him a better life than he’d had in the past.

Louie - who’s a leopard tortoise - was rescued from his previous owners after they didn’t take proper care of him.

Oliver, from east Yorkshire, was so determined that Louie be treated to a life of comfort he went as far as building his new pet a spectacular place to live.

Using Steven Spielberg’s 1993 classic film Jurassic Park as his inspiration, Oliver built Louie a pen for the ages.

The enclosure comes complete with a visitors centre (made from cardboard and lollipop sticks), a pool, a grazing area and it is all set behind a tiny replica of Jurassic Park.

What an effort!

We think Louie is going to have a great life with Oliver.
