Watch this paraglider spectacularly crash-land with painful consequences

Phew! Close one.

Extreme sports can be exciting and exhilarating, but they also come with the danger that things may not always go to plan.

Here is one of those times caught on the Go Pro of one extremely lucky-or unlucky- (depending which way you look at it) lad who found an unfortunate landing spot when descending from an evening of paragliding.

The guy tried to land on a strip of road, however he skinned the rocky coastline coming up to the flat road and then found himself carrying too much speed to land.

The poor man hit off the railing bordering the road and fell into a pile of rocks at the other side of it.

It looks pretty scary and we are sure he got an awful shock, but thankfully he came out of it with nothing but a few cuts and bruises.

Pretty lucky if you ask us!
