Man finds note written 15 years ago in his house and tracks down author

Hello, from 2001!

Alex Moss was doing a bit of DIY on his house in Manchester over the weekend when he opened up a fireplace in one of his bedrooms.

In it he found a note which had been written 15 years ago.

It read: "Hello, welcome to my room, it’s 2001 and I am decorating this room.

"Hope you enjoy your life, remember that I will always be watching you!"

It's signed off with "L8SERS, Darren Lucas".

The creepy ending didn't put Alex off as he shared the note on Twitter with the hashtag #finddarrenclucas.

A couple of hours later, Darren got in touch.

And the two of them seemed to get on like a house on fire.

Before Darren wished Alex all the best in his house.

But are there more surprises in store for Alex?
