Drone footage shows off Louth primary schools' Proclamation Day celebrations

A Louth national school has released a video to mark today’s Proclamation Day events, part of the events of the 1916 Rising centenary.

The students of St Francis National School in Blackrock enlisted the help of David Norton Photography and, using drone footage (fancy!), the video showcases their little corner of Ireland, their school, what kind of the country the students would like - and finishes an aerial shot of the kids spelling out the all important dates of 1916 and 2016.
