Dad forges letter from Arsene Wenger to keep son supporting Arsenal
There are all kinds of white lies parents tell their kids to get out of sticky situations, like not knowing why the sky is blue and why they should eat all their vegetables, but here is one dad who took things to the next level.
One Arsenal supporting father impersonated Arsene Wenger and Alexis Sanchez in a letter in order to keep his son supporting his favourite team.
It seems peer pressure was getting to the little fella who wanted to pledge allegiance to Liverpool and Manchester City instead of his Father’s favourite team of red and white.
So dad being dad he put pen to paper –or rather fingers to keyboard- and spun a fantastic yarn for his son to read.
Oh it was quite the story, a letter written by Arsene Wenger himself, telling the young impressionable chappie how important his support was to the Arsenal team and how much Alexis Sanchez also appreciated him and his dad flying the red and white flag of support.
The only snag is he never mentioned it was the work of fiction.
Imagine this little man’s surprise to receive a letter from the Arsenal manager himself as well as his favourite player telling him to keep up the fine job of support he had been doing.
The hilarious letter also includes the line: “Listen to your daddy when he says Arsenal is the best- he is right!”
Football really means a lot to this dad, lets hope his son decides to stay with the red and white this season.
We don’t think he could handle the Manchester City and Liverpool colours around the house and just imagine matches between the teams?
He might have won this round but he is going to have to get used to being over-ruled as this little tyke grow into his teens.
A letter won’t save you then Mister dad!
