This Mayo woman was given her ‘sexy beast’ hero for Christmas

A lovely Christmas surprise for her!

Like most offices this Christmas season, the staff of the Castlecourt Hotel Westport had their annual Kris Kringle gift giving yesterday.

Staff member Louise Beckett is a massive Mayo football supporter, but she loves one player above all the rest - their talisman Aidan O’Shea.

Her colleagues Ciara Joyce and Donna Gibons decided to surprise her with a massive cut-out of her and Aidan together - and we think Louise was pretty happy.

After kissing the placard ‘Aidan’ several times, Louise proceeded to tell a hilarious story of how she once shouted out, calling the full forward a “sexy beast” in the pub.

As the office falls apart with laughter, who should walk in the door only the main man himself.

Fair play to Ciara and Donna for organising the surprise and Aidan for taking part - no doubt this is a gift Louise will be talking about for many Christmases to come.

Louise told us she and gang do Kris Kringle every year, and agreed this year was really special for her, describing it as "the best kept secret and best Christmas present ever".

She said: "For anyone that knows me, they know that I’m an avid Mayo supporter and have been since I was knee high to a grasshopper."

She said Aidan was "a true gentleman… To be perfectly honest, I think he was more embarrassed than me!"
