VIDEO: Harrison Ford brings Donald Trump back down to earth in a very polite way

He also delivers one of the best lines in cinematic history.

Republican Donald Trump was brought back down to earth by Harrison Ford stating bluntly: "It was a movie" after Trump said he admired his film Air Force One because he "stood up for America" against terrorists.

When speaking to the New York Times this week, Trump told reporters that he was a big fan of the action film and the star.

“My favourite was Harrison Ford on the plane. I love Harrison Ford. He stood up for America,” he said.

In the movie Ford plays US President James Marshal who becomes the hero after he retakes his plane after it gets hijacked by terrorists.

Harrison Ford, who is currently on a press tour promoting his new Star Wars film, The Force Awakens, was less than impressed when he heard the comments made by the Republican candidate.

“It’s a movie, Donald, it was a movie. It’s not like this in real life, but how would you know,” he said.
