WATCH: Irish 'Karate Kid' appears on The Ellen DeGeneres Show
Armagh's 'Karate Kid' Jesse Jane McParland was in the media again recently after appearing on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in America.
Karate star Jesse Jane first came to the spotlight on Britain's Got Talent where she astounded the judges with her skills, so much so that Simon Cowell asked her to be his security guard.
The contrast between her docile nature and aggressive karate stance is enough to get you to sit up and pay attention and when you do, boy are you in for a show.
Talk of Jesse's talents have spread across further shores and she received an invitation to appear on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, one of the largest chat shows in America.
Nine-year-old Jesse Jane told the cooing audience all about her passion for karate and how she got involved in the sport.
She had the audience eating out of the palm of her hand, especially when she retold the story of how her mom asked her why she didn't like ballet and Irish dancing and she told her mum that "not every girl dreams of being a princess."
Inspiring stuff.
