WATCH: Parents prank their kids by telling them they ate all their Halloween sweets

Never come between kids and their Halloween haul.

Jimmy Kimmel is back with his annual psychological torture of young children in the latest instalment of "I Told My Kids I Ate All Their Halloween Candy".

For the last four years, the late night talk show presenter has been asking the parents of America to tell their kids that they ate all of the sweets they worked so hard to get trick-or-treating.

And, as usual, the reactions are pretty extreme - tears, violence, synchronised wailing, inventive insults ('turkey butthole'), fainting and some frankly terrifying death stares.

Of course, there's the usual few angelic kids who make the rest of them look bad by instantly forgiving their parents.

We do feel for the poor girl who just wanted to try Skittles.

Maybe next year.
