WATCH: Holidaymakers dig channel to save beached great white shark

According to reports, the shark was 11-feet-long and over 141 stone in weight.

Massachusetts beachgoers banded together over the weeknd to try and save a great white shark after it beached itself on Whitecrest Beach, Cape Cod.

Using only children’s buckets and spades, the crowd dug a channel to the sea and kept it breathing with constant supply of water.
