This letter addressed to 'Séan who sings like Neil Diamond' got delivered
We're all feeling very smug about our postal system this week, after a letter addressed to "your man Henderson" made it to its recipient. Since everyone seems to hate Eircode, it's a nice little story.
RTÉ news journalist Sinéad Hussey has another great example of An Post going above and beyond, after she dug out this gem addressed to her father.
Now I know Longford is a small place but this letter without an address reached my Dad! pic.twitter.com/SG89Us6q25

The letter was successfully delivered with the address of "Mr Séan Hussey (Singer), Longford."
To be fair, it did provide other essential information, noting that: "don't know full address only that he sings like Neil Diamond just heard him on Shannon Side today."
Bravo, Mr postman. Who needs an Eircode? No wonder we're the envy of our British neighbours and their Royal Mail.
