Cat hitches a lift on a plane, gives pilot a fright

Always carry out a cat check before taking off.

We don't know who was more surprised by this - the pilot or the cat.

During a flight at aviation school Club ULM in Kouroi, French Guiana, the pilot of a light aircraft got a bit of a fright when he discovered a cat had stowed away in the wing.

Romain Jantot wrote in the Youtube that he's not sure when the cat got in there:

"A standard flight until... i still don't know if it got in after the pre flight check or if i missed it.

The cat is doing well, she is still our mascot."

It takes him an age to notice but when he does, his reaction is the mix of confusion, surprise and amusement that you would expect.

Luckily, the cat stayed remarkably calm until they touched down, no worse for wear after his accidental flight.

Maybe he just wanted to see what it was like up there.
