VIDEO: Cyclist has close call with double-decker bus after jumping red light
A Manchester cyclist had a very lucky escape after he collided with a bus after running a red light.
In a video uploaded to YouTube, the man can be seen colliding with the double-decker bus - amazingly, he walked away unhurt.
The motorcyclist who filmed this video from his helmet cam wrote that he had little sympathy for the cyclist:
“I have zero sympathies for the guy. But, he was OK in the end. If he had been 1 second sooner, he’d be a smear along the road.”
A YouTube commenter claiming to be the cyclist gave his side of the story, saying his brake cable snapped:
"Thought I'd just get the lights, hence the speed. Realised it wasn't happening, squeezed the front brake. Cable snapped. Not enough time to lose speed on back wheel in the wet. Not fun."
Not fun at all.
