Police mock bungling burglar with comedy soundtrack

You eejit.

You know you've made a fool of yourself when the police — the actual police — put comedy music to the video of your crime.

That's what happened to this burglar who set out to rob an entire ATM machine in Queensland, Australia - only it didn't go so well.

The would-be criminal mastermind broke into a shop to rip away the ATM machine inside - but apparently didn't notice his chain had uncoupled. He tore away at high speed into the night – just without his bounty.

Confused at the lack of cash following him, he returned to the scene of the crime to give it a second go, but apparently thought the better of it and just went home.

And so, Townsville police issued an appeal, as usual. But a particularly keen / bored / ingenious video editor in the force decided the footage would be improved with a bumbling comedic soundtrack.

And right he was.
