How much damage can one wild turkey in a bathroom cause?

A lot, it seems.

When Nancy Page from Rhode Island walked into her home last week, the first thing she noticed was water pouring through her ceiling.

Assuming a pipe had burst, she went upstairs to investigate. And in her bathroom, she was face with… a wild turkey.

Because, why not?

“The door was open and I rounded the corner and there was a turkey— sitting on my vanity,” Nancy told ABC6 News.

It seems the turkey had flown through an open window, accidentally turned on the tap hitch then ran for hours and managed to, in essence, wreck the gaff.

Understandably unsure of what to do next, Nancy rang 911.

"My emergency was water gushing through the ceiling... and a turkey in my bathroom,” said Page.

“She [the dispatcher] said what? And I said it again and said this really is true.”

The turkey was released back into the wild and , despite the estimated thousands of dollars worth of damage to her home, Nancy is surprisingly upbeat about the whole thing.

“Everybody has gotten a really good laugh out of this because it is so comical. No one was hurt so we’re real thankful for that,” she said.

Maybe it was some sort of Thanksgiving revenge plot?
