Actress Joan Collins takes to Twitter to clarify that she wasn't arrested at a water charges protest

The actress was forced to tweet that she hadn't been arrested while attending a protest on the Parnell road.

In a surreal addition to the Irish Water saga, British actress Joan Collins was forced to issue a clarification on Twitter that, no, she hadn't been arrested at a protest on the Parnell Road in Dublin yesterday.

No I am not the Joan Collins Who was a rested yesterday At a Dublin protest meeting !!! The very idea!!

We're not really sure who would have mixed them up - for a variety of reasons.

Joan seemed to be aghast at the 'very idea' - we imagine it’s not a cause very close to her heart.
