This adorable penguin chick is putting on weight - with its zookeepers weighing it in penguin biscuit bars.
The chick was abandoned by its parents while still in the egg, but some foster parents stepped in to incubate and look after the egg until it hatched to become the first Humboldt penguin born at the park in two years.
And since its own mother isn't taking care of the chick, the team at Blair Drummond Safari Park in Scotland are keeping a careful eye on its weight to make sure it's growing.
“It only weighed 85 grams after hatching and after today’s weighing in is just shy of 280 grams or 14 penguin biscuits," said penguin keeper Coni McEwan.
“The chick is starting to become very vocal and is moving around a lot more.”
The little bird hasn't been named, as they're still not sure whether it's a male or female - finding out will require a blood sample once the little bird is strong enough.
The same Safari Park recently took Kelly the giraffe to the dentist - and produced some fascinating photos on how exactly that's done.
