This video of a boy and his dearly-departed pet goldfish has gone viral with many empathising with his tender goodbye to his best friend.

He seems to be taking it fairly well until after the final flush. And then come the tears - both from him and everyone watching.

And while it could be argued that the mother shouldn't have put such a private moment online, it is nice to know that, despite all the terrible things happening in the world, little kids are still mourning the loss of their pet goldfish.
