A row erupts as O’Connor tries to turn the tables on Browne over the lack of union recognition within TV3. O’Connor also seems to take offence to Vincent’s questioning of his support for the Labour party.
After Vincent confirms the lack of “collective bargaining” in TV3, O'Connor begins to remove his microphone - at which point Vincent accuses him of trying to pull a "stroke".
“Did you not know about that before you came on?” Vincent asks. O'Connor says he suspected it.
“You now see an opportunity for a stroke," counters Vincent.
The two go back-and-forth before O’Connor finally carries out his threat to walk off. As he is leaving Vincent can’t resist one final dig.
“Okay good luck Jack. Quite a stunt isn’t it,” Browne calls as O'Connor retreats.

To add to the farcical situation, the show ended with a rendition of the Ray Charles classic Hit the Road Jack, sending Vincent and his remaining guests into fits.
