This is why you shouldn't take selfies in front of fires

This guy found out the hard way.

When Tom Lavery of New Haven and a friend came across a dumpster on fire on Sunday, he decided to take a selfie in front of the blaze as the firefighters tried to put it out.

Why? We're not sure. But what happened next was fairly amusing as the firefighters took aim with their hoses - directly at the pair filming the video.
