Gigantic alligator goes for a stroll on the fairway in Florida

You may have to battle the bracing weather when golfing in Ireland, but that is considerably less dangerous than what the members of Myakka Pines golf course in Florida were faced with.

A ladies competition was interrupted when a 13 foot alligator decided to go for a walk across the greens.

Amazingly, the 100 participants decided to go ahead with their games - it must have been one helluva prize to be worth sharing a fairway with this guy. What if the alligator didn’t hear a golfer shout “fore”?

According to this news report the golf club are used to visiting reptiles, so much so they have an official alligator policy - don’t feed them.

To be honest, if this beast decided he wanted our lunch, we’d be handing it over - the only thing worse than a giant terrifying alligator would be a hungry giant terrifying alligator.
