Secret message shows up on cereal bag from closed factory
Two months after the very last box from the Kellogg's factory in London, Ontario, rolled off the line, it was opened on the kitchen table of a Canadian family - with a special message.
The Gaudette family opened the top of the box, only to spot a message in black marker telling them to "please read bag".
Signed by three workers, each with more than 20 years service to the company, the message read: "This is the very last bag of Canadian cereal for the Canadian market from the Kellogg's London Ontario Plant."
The message is rather poignant given that Kellogg's was a major employer in the town, with the loss of 450 jobs when it closed down.
The Gaudette family left the bag from the 138-year-old factory unopened, and it's due to make an appearance at teacher Stephen's history class for show-and-tell.
