Crumlin Shopping Centre's 'official' Facebook page is, er, interesting

Dublin's old stalwart of retail, Crumlin Shopping Centre, has decided to join the digital age and connect with its customers on social media - with rather fantastic results.

A parody Facebook account for the centre was set up two days ago, sharing the latest "news" with nearby residents - and has clocked up more than 2,500 fans in two days.

With a quick look at their content, it's not hard to see why people are finding it amusing.

"It seems some people are upset about the dog fighting on the first Saturday of every month," the organiser helpfully chips in. "I've spoken to the organisers and they've agreed to move it back to the original Friday night slot."

Now, despite the name "Official Crumlin Shopping Centre", this is almost certainly not sanctioned by centre management.

Clues exist in the fact that there are no posts before two days ago. And the fact that the only photo it has is pulled from Google Images. Or, you know, all the content on the page.

That hasn't stopped angry commenters on the page from being OUTRAGED at the management, though.

Still, this is such a specific parody, we'd like to think this is a disgruntled retail employee who has simply had enough.
