Hozier's hit gets killer new video featuring ballet's hottest star
As Hozier's fame continues to grow internationally, the praise and tributes continue to stack up.
And now his hit 'Take Me To Church' has been used for a gorgeous new video featuring the crazily-talented Ukrainian dancer Sergei Polunin.
Directed by acclaimed photographer David LaChapelle, the video of an angsty solo performance by Polunin juxtaposed by the airy, sun-lit empty studio is a stunning visual accompaniment to the song - even if you might be getting sick of hearing it.
Polunin is known as the 'bad boy of ballet' for his tattoos, talent and his anti-establishment attitude.
After becoming the Royal Ballet's youngest ever principal performer at the age of 19, the dancer scandalised his peers by giving up the coveted position to pursue other projects - which have so far included modeling for Marc Jacobs and acting.
Dare we say it but we think we prefer this to the original video. And that's not just because of the Spandex.
And Hozier himself has tweeted his approval of the video:
Absolutely blown away by this gorgeous piece of work from David LaChapelle and Sergei Polunin. No words. Thank you! http://t.co/ey3GBv2N0Q
