Dublin band take to the streets to 'save' Irish busking
This evening, Dublin City Council will meet to vote on a draft Bye-Law that proposes to ban all electric amplifiers from Grafton Street or to impose a noise level limit of 80 decibels.
For one Dublin band who often busk on Grafton Street, both of these options are unwanted and they argue that it would be disastrous for the majority of buskers on Grafton Street.
So Keywest started a campaign to change the councillors' minds. Using the tag #SaveIrishBusking , they have been raising awareness of the campaign through social media and are encouraging people to contact Dublin City Council if they disagree with the proposals.

Keywest also took to the streets of Dublin to get people involved and explain their objections.
Other proposals at tonight's meeting include implementing a permit system for buskers, time restrictions and making sure buskers stay at least 50 metres apart.
