This dashcam video of a suspicious roadblock is very creepy

Just what were they up to?

Ivan Tukhtin was driving down a quiet New Jersey highway the other night when, out of the darkness, he suddenly sees two traffic cones in the middle of the road.

Assuming it's a roadblock, he slows down and a man then approaches the car, helpfully cloaked in shadows.

Speaking to WABC-TV, Turtkin explained what was going through his head at the time:

"The first thing that pops into my mind was, why don't I see any hazards on the car, then I see the person, maybe he's in trouble, maybe he needs help"

In the video, Ivan - a third year law student then asks the man if he can help him with something.

The stranger said “yes” but then put his hands in his pockets - and that's when Ivan decided to get the hell out of dodge and sped away.

He rang 911 and two men were been arrested - one for a DWI (driving while intoxicated) and the other for hindering. While it is unclear exactly what their intention was, Ivan believes it was an attempted robbery.

"I personally think it was a robbery because someone who needs help doesn't take these kinds of extreme measures. I'm just glad I wasn't hurt."

Creepy.
