Dublin's looking aboslutely beautiful today - from space, at least.

Astronaut Reid Wiseman is currently on a mission on the International Space Station, and has been delighting space enthusiasts with his fantastic shots of the earth's surface, like a one-man Google Maps machine.

"Day 160 and my first glimpse of #Dublin #Ireland through the 800mm,"Reid tweeted.

Reid takes his photos using an enormous 800mm zoom lens - usually reserved for wildlife photography and other extreme-zoom activities.

It's a serious piece of kit. In fact, a Dublin stockist will sell you one for a mere €19,999, even if they do have to order it.

If you're not already following Reid, he's definitely worth subscribing to. Apart from these detailed super telephoto zooms, he also shoots short video clips for Vine, capturing fantastic scenes such as a lightning storm over Kansas.

His teammate Alexander Gerst is also worth following, who snapped his own shot of our pretty little island.

Both team members have only a few days left on this mission, and so are attacking their unique photography opportunities with gusto.
