World’s largest moustache takes over the Cliffs of Moher
With the month of November right around the corner, the Movember campaign to highlight prostate cancer is kicking into gear.
The aim of Movember is to raise awareness and funds for the Irish Cancer Society and the Movember Foundation’s global research initiative GAP - as men are encouraged to spend the month growing ridiculous moustaches to collect some money for the appeal.
So the clever guys from the campaign decided to use one of Ireland’s most historic backdrops in the Cliffs of MOher (see what we did there?) to project the world’s largest moustache onto it.
With over 3000 Irish men diagnosed with prostate cancer each year we have to say the beauty of the cliffs provides a fitting image for the charity effort.
To complete the Movember challenge men are asked to start to month clean shaven and maintain a moustache throughout the 30 days in order to spark conversations about men’s health.
No beards, goatees or - heaven forbid - fake moustaches are allowed.
Movember is heading into its seventh year in Ireland and it has raised €8.7m in the last six years.
