Girl gets head stuck in bottle bank after friend bets £10 and a Big Mac

The student had to be rescued by firefighters after becoming trapped in the bin

A student is said to be "very embarrassed" after getting her head stuck in bottle bank during a night out in Southampton.

The Telegraph reports that Chelsie Redwood, 19, got herself jammed after a friend bet her £10 and a Big Mac to stick her head in the round opening to the recycling bin.

Not one to pass up a challenge, it seems, Chelsie obliged - and the poor girl got her head got stuck halfway.

Luckily for her, her friends were there to document the whole thing. Nice...

Firefighters were called and she was able to pull herself free after they used some cutting equipment on the bin.

Crew member Chris Rashleigh explained the situation: "I think it was student night. I imagine she was looking for more drink."

"When the fire crews turned up, the girl was surrounded by friends with her head stuck in the bin with both feet on the ground," he said.

"She was very relieved to come out. She said 'I will never do that again.'"

Probably for the best...
